Lebanon: AMA provides teacher training for Aman School of Excellence staff
This month, AMA provided staff training for teachers at the Aman School of Excellence.
The school, which caters to over 600 underprivileged students, many of whom are Syrian refugees and orphans, provides formal schooling and psycho-social support services.
In order to deliver a high quality of education to attendees at the school, AMA provides regular staff training for teachers and members at the school.
This month, the focus of the training was how to effectively manage a classroom.
Through the training, teachers were able to learn how to better improve their teaching methods using different techniques.
“We learned how to divide the lesson into different parts, so that we allocate time for the children to practice what they have learned and then we can assess it,” said one of the teachers who was present at the training.
The teachers also learned how to best set objectives and the criteria of the lessons.
Mageda Salaeh, one of the trainers, said that these sessions are important for the development of teachers and students.
“It is important to train AMAN teachers so they become qualified and equipped with the best teaching strategies,” she said. “This will then have a positive impact on the students’ performances,” she added.
